Is there any way to make use of the storage room, as in the same way as the FFR, under the troop seats.
I would love to cut an acces panel under the seats, to mount a second battery.
Anyone done it, any ideas, it just seems a big wasted storage area going to waste.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce

In earlier series 2a 109 there was an optional inside wheel mount that had dish that sat through the top of the rear seat box.

You could always cut a similar sized hole and fit a toolbox lid like is fitted further back.

The downside to that is getting to it if you have stuff loaded on top.

Not that You would hear it from me, but you could always make one side look like an FFR by adding the external battery door and leave the other GS.  We have a spare FFR door or two as you saw.

Terrafirma make a storage locker for that purpose. You can get them at Rovacraft (but they're not cheap). This is the only photo I could find of one fitted:

Nice website. And pricing.

Weird advertising photo in a way - whats the object they've got in the box? Chicken jerky?

Those look great, I wonder if they would work on the Perentie and if they are more water resistant?

A little off topic, but I had side entry boxes on my 109 S2A way back in 1977/8, I did it myself with limited tools, so have a go it's as easy as falling off a greasy log, cheers Dennis ;)

Theres 3 different types that Allmakes make

TF885
TF886
TF887

The TF887 is the larger of the 3. 510 x 330 x 300 suits 1983 onwards.

Rovacraft don't stock any of them.  As for working on the Perentie, TF887 is the only one that will fit the others are for Station Wagons. Theres a TF885 on ebay, and a Tf887.

Or if you like to buy genuine as fitted to the UK Wolfs you can buy this kit. Don't ask the price.....

When you say the TF887 is the only one will fit a Perentie, are you referring to the soft tops? As I have a hard top carry all will I need TF885?

Cheers

TF885 & TF886 fit in the rear quarter panels, TF887 fits in front of the wheel arch. Nothing will fit your Carryall because there's no room; in front of the wheel arch you have a door and behind you have the existing storage lockers. As Juddy says, 3 door Perenties only.

Ah sorry I misunderstood, I thought these were replacements for the existing lockers.
