Have fun with it and do not time unrealistic time frames on it. Will be all worth it.

You'd be mad not to.
No bids yet.
$350
Sold.
Anyone from here?

I've found my way here now...

The verdict: project 99% complete

Lots of rust -  which is normal I know, but it looked like it had sunk with the titanic.

Welcome to REMLR forum Aitch. Been here a coupla weeks myself.

I have seen 5's used as baths and boats (using an outboard - they're unseaworthy, they don't even have distress flares or EPIRBs in the CES), but I've never heard of one pranging an iceberg. Not in the top end, and -so far- not even in Tasmania. :)

Were there any clues such as old fishing hooks?

You know when you see steel rusting by the ocean, and it has 'rust shaped oysters'  and the metal starts to look like it has pages instead of a single sheet? ?  They were the clues.

More probably it came from townsville and rain filled the tub. Then some kind army soul probably turned it over (in the puddle so no water pooled in the tub. Instead it pooled in the upside down lip of the trailer.

Aitch, your ambulance looks great.

2 questions though, 1, there was no siren fitted to your vehicle??

and 2, what is under the camnet in the photo of the 3 vehicles, looks like a RAAF No. plate ???

Aitch, you'll find Phoenix has ambulance on the brain. Can lead to conversations being a little one tracked.
So, Aitch, tell us more about your 101.

Seriously, sometimes in threads of this type (there can be several subjects being discussed at the same time) can be a little confusing to keep up with. I had to go back a few posts to see where we were up to.

Might I suggest you start a new thread on your No.5 trailer restoration project. I wouldn't mind seeing how you approach the task.
