So I bought a Perentie for a daily driver, and from the auction finish on the wednesday to picking it up on the monday I had a wide grin plastered on my face that not even an entirely depleted bank account could wipe off.
From almost being born in one, to having grown up with my mother driving a ex-army IIA as a daily (some might know it as Castrol..) land rovers have been a large part of my driving life so i figured it was time to get one of my own
Enter 48932 - one of the rougher examples also made it one of the cheaper examples..

Grays waiting room

Grays 'stock-room' (48932 & 101148 in centre)

"Id keep her running mate, but theres so little fuel in her you may not make it to the servo" awesome first words when purchasing a car..

These two got bored while I took a bunch of pictures and made themselves comfy

Made it to the fuel station.. put 60l of diesel in (cost $90) to fill. Im lead to believe its a 65l tank so.. fuel gauge might be lying?

Notice I bought in the morning, and only got to put plates on at a random kfc at dusk? Yeh, thanks RTA. Got stuffed around regarding greenslips and trailer rego costs in a long story noone wants to hear.

A $2 matt black spray job (Carzee mentioned the 'extremely bad casting' of the pickhead, which was just caked on mud I sprayed black.. I figure a quick job will get that 'patina' of looking old but being a matching set quicker haha)

Beau from Canberra made me see double

Hope the camera man ducked..
