Thinking would love to bring a 6x6 back to the uk maybe the next purchase

Hi Tim,
You might be interested to know that there is a Perentie 6x6 GS truck in England and has been for many years. It came from Land Rover Military Sales and used at the Defence sales exhibitions, etc. then sold off. Last known in East Sussex.

Perentie is not just a 110 because it has a completely different chassis because of the widening of the rear end to accommodate the spare wheel between the chassis rails.  I suspect that is why, that and it was built here to comply with the Australian Design rules, not any European or British equivalent.

Actually that 6x6 is not the only one in the UK Richard, 1 of 2 or three from memory, just wish I had Vins for them to know which ones they are!

I'm confused, same width 6x6, or did you mean the chassis I mentioned earlier.  Overall the same dimensions, but the rear half of the chassis the rails are wider.  Photos on this page http://remlr.com/perentie-info.html

I would have thought a different chassis, modified little as it is) would have negated it's registration as a regular 110, hence why they are not registered as a regular 110 here on the compliance plates.

And why it has a different towing capacity to the civilian 110.

Also the brushbar which are illegal in the UK, the chassis is also altered to accomodate the brushbars.

And the Isuzu engine would be a novelty for a UK 110. Euro emissions are fairly strict, I'd be interested to see what year standards they apply for the engine.

Just a couple of pictures of my Perentie FFR  that I have just imported from Australia !

Just in the process of getting it road registered  & getting Single Vehicle Approval for use in the UK.

Interesting to read Juddy's post about importing into the UK

He forgot to mention the 20% UK VAT ,20% UK Import  Duty ,Storage Charges While Waiting For An Export-Import Certificate/Documents & Defence Dept Approvals.

As Having Gone Through The Process of Importing The Vehicle - 10K profit is way off the mark!

Well pleased with the Landrover -so much better than our normally aspirated 2.5d 110 Landrover Defenders.

I'm considering importing one of these to the UK. What was the Export-Import Certificate? Was this something on the Australian side?

To export a Perentie from Australia you require a Department of Defence export aproval.
Then you require import approval at your end.
