Reinforced front bumpers
« on: June 14, 2014, 09:31:02 PM »
I was trawling through the Series III info relating to paint schemes and noticed a photo and notation referring to a horizontal white marking on the front lift points. This denoted a reinforced bumper.

Can anyone please shed some light on what the modification was?

cheers, Daryl

It was no a reinforced bumper, but to note a reinforcement of the mounting point.  there should be an EMEI about it on the series 3 EMEI page.

Reinforcing of front bumper mounting. 5 pages A4. Feb 87

which I just realised is not online.  I will try and put it up today once I finish catalouging the auction vehicles.

Aye, thanks. I have today. Curiously my truck appears not to have had this mod done, the no. 21 has not been scratched out on the MOD plate.  :( I was going to paint the horizontal white lines on the lift points.

cheers
