12v power supply
« on: June 05, 2014, 10:12:02 AM »
Morning all.

Anyone have any idea where I can get a male plug that will go into the 12v power supply socket that sits on the right-hand side of the box that encloses the blackout switch on a GS perentie? I went to Jaycar the other day and the couldn't help me. It kinda looks like two banana plugs side by side, but a standard banana plug won't fit as it is too thick.

I'm wanting to run a hand held 12v spotlight without adding any new sockets if possible.

Cheers, Sam.

Clip the ends of hte wire, fold over and solder into a plug.
5 minutes work and you don't even need to put your pants on.

Thanks everyone. That's a great help. I probably want 2 or 3 of them so I might go for the 5-pack. If I do get them, do you want 2 plugs Carzee? I can post a couple off to you once they arrive.

ive found rca plugs fit too. just tear the metal ring off. you can pick up the plugs from jaycar for approx 2 dollars a pair. tear that outer ring off solder your wire on the connection in the centre and thats it

Cheers,
Lachlan
