More work done today. Stamped all data plates , primed the map light panel and primed all vent screens.

Hi Greg

A little trick when stamping data plates.

Clamp a length of aluminium angle (or similar) over the plate aligned with the box for the data. I then hold the punch against the angle, move along the angle with each punch in turn.  That way the numbers will be on the same horizontal alignment and look more original.

Bought some paint cans today and sprayed all the primed areas including all screws. Now it’s all one colour camo green. Also did the speed decal and reckon I did a good job with only a few blurs but looks like army did it and not the factory.

Hi Greg

Do you (or anyone else) have any information why the towing speed limit is faster than the normal speed limit?

Believe me what looks like a 3 is a 5 that how it was stamped of the army stencil machine. Copied straight from another bulk head.

Thanks Tony.

I was wondering but 50 MPH makes sense. Thinking about it, I seem to recall 45MPH on the Inters.

Look what I found at our local army D's. 2 Ties one early made in Sydney, 1 Survey Purple Lanyard and 2 Long sleve Poly shirts (the one left is dated 1971 the tag need to be sewn back on & one on right no date). Now to go back and look throught the pants to get 2 Complete summer uniforms.

This is timely for me; on a ex-mil 2a I'm currently replacing a bulkhead on, the nomenclature plate has replaced the LHD steering column hole - is that correct or is this placement correct?

On a s2a there 2 places they can go on early ones like mine or like the photo. As my civy bulkhead had the cover I left mine side by side.

Hi Anthony,

Looks like you have a couple of "stepping out" outfits for Corowa mate.

You'll need mess dress for Blighty 😊👍

Cheers,
