EMEI for Perentie 6X6 brake upgrade.
« on: June 20, 2012, 12:29:41 PM »
I don't know if this question should be in this area, but we don't have a forum for general technical information.

I believe that the Perentie fleet has been upgraded from drum brakes on the rear to disk brakes on the rear.  I have the 1st edition RPS for the 6X6 which I assume has the details of the original parts, but not the retrofitted parts.

Do we have the EMEI for this retrofit?

Also do we have a Manufacturer Code to Manufacturer Name list?  The RPS lists the Mfr codes but like many of the more recent RPS it doesn't have the section 4 with the Code to Name data.  IIRC the one I want is Z0096 (Which may be Land Rover as the part code is an AYG number)

Hello Diana,

I have the RPS for the disc brakes, are there some numbers you want there?, The EMEI for the change is VEH G 297-13, I'm afraid i dont have it.
If you want a copy of the RPS pages let me know.

I can understand the need for an upgrade. The brakes on my sixby are a bit ordinary

I was ratting around the other day and found some of the conversion plates we used to convert my truck to disks. We copied them from an original army plate

They are a bracket that holds the caliper. At the moment they are blank so you can mark and tap them to whatever you like. I would suggest as small as you can find as it will be as many calipers on the back as a normal vehicle has all up. I think we used ex army stubs to get the calipers to line up to the rotor. I know it took some mucking with, but was well worth it.
