Thanks Diana, a complete respray maybe the only option then. That's what I was trying to avoid.

I did my series 3 FFR in a shed, canopy off, bonnet off and masked off wheels, cab area and engine bay, and it only took me a weekend after doing all the sanding and prep previous to that weekend.

Yeah thanks, I have since thought that removing what panels I can and doing them individually might be a good idea. Not so daunting as a 'whole of car' approach I guess

You may be interested in this forum post: Stephen White (who is building a 1/6th scale Cent in incredible detail using the Armortek kit as a base) has done a comparison of the current Protec paint and the earlier Olive Drab lustreless and semi-gloss. The results are at:

as part of the contract with the def dept  protec has to guarantee the colour batch supplied at the beginning of the contract is the same at the end of the contract. Wattyl could not do the same. their was another supplier and that was commonwealth explosive factory or ADI (Thales defence industries  ) might be able to help.
again Wattyl colour varied between batches.
