CD175 adjusting tool
« on: May 08, 2014, 09:43:57 PM »
Hello, can anyone please advise which mixture adjusting tool I need for my carby? I've got a 1978 SIII 2.6lt, fixed jet model. I've found two on eBay, one has a 'knob' on the end for post '78 carbs, t'other is a plain hex tool for pre '78 carbs. (both with the slide to prevent rotation of the needle)

any help greatly appreciated, Daryl

Hello Dusty Oval,

Not sure if anyone has answered your question, or you found the answer yourself. I found out this bit of information today... "1977 onwards, may employ a raised blade" So prior to 1977 was the Allen Key type.

Then it all depends upon whether the carburettor on your vehicle is an original one that has not been swapped over to a newer or older one.  :)

Kind Regards
Lionel
