Hello Scott, Hello Comrades.  News of my vehicle acquisition.  Obtained via fleabay over the last 2 weeks.
Apologies to the other two hopefuls if they are REMLR members.  If not, too bad, you lose.

Photos attached ( I hope) showing, As advertised, as first seen, as arrived in Pleasantville Qld, and as offloaded to my shed.
(no, you can't look inside the shed) (Yet.)

1960 Series 2 FFW    ARN 111-515   Showing correct chassis number and engine number as at auction time in 1969.
An amazing vehicle,  24Volt Alternator only, double 12 volt starting batteries, vacuum brake booster,  lots of original fittings still attached and still running and driving.  Missing bows and canvas (as per normal) and door uppers missing or sad.
Unregistered and forgotten for years and used to collect firewood from the adjoining Forestry area.
Will be named "The Woodcutter"   I'm a happy chappy.

1942 C15 Blitz RadioVan 42-CMP "The PieVan"
1960 Series2 FFW 111-515  "The Woodcutter"
1991 Perentie RFSV 51-699  "Berzerker"

So the series 2 FFW was a full 24v system, how intruiging!

Great purchase, not enough of these still out there!

G'day Folks  :)

not sure about that, have vague memory of 12 vehicle generator Lucas C39 and 24 Cav alternator for the radios,C series or Clansman before going to FFR's with US sourced radios.

long time since I had a close look at a FFT

cheers

And I suppose I had better fess up that I have a new purchase:

1980 Series 3 1/2 ton Air Portable aka Lightweight  :D
ex-Brunei, 24V FFR believed to be 16-HG-57? I am checking with UK about MOD Reg against Ch No and Contract No.
It is in good condition with new MOD canvas (tilt) it also came with a rusty Sankey trailer.

Still got the 2a GS 6028D (and have a lead on the stretcher Brackets  ;)

cheers
