Looks amazing rod!
looking to (almost) replicate for my survey, just a few quick clarifications if you wouldnt mind, please and thankyou

any chance you could give me a quick rundown of pipe angles and length in between them ?

what made you decide to use the rubber bend instead of just bending the pipe at that angle aswell ?

also could i get a photo of how you fixed the snorkel to the windscreen ?

again. looks like a killer snorkel.

While shopping at Bunnings today for my gardening tools to go on my vehicle I caught Hot Rover in his shed.
I was absolutely flaggabasted to say the least.  For an Aussie Bloke to be so meticulous is not normal.

I went home with a mental note to raise my standards. A LOT.

Thanks for your comments. When I had the pipe bent we held it against the windscreen and bent it to suit. You need to use the rubber elbow to allow the 2 sections to join, if you look at one of the straight on photos you will see the elbow is twisted to allow the pipe on the mudguard pipe to join to the windscreen pipe as they don't line up, the RFSV's are like this as well. When you build it it all makes sense then. I will try to take a photo. To mount onto the windscreen I welded a piece of flat steel to the pipe and drilled 3 holes into the windscreen frame and tapped a thread into them and used machine screws. The elbow is available through Land Rover spare parts for about $40 I can get them if you want one.

I like the look of that Narva Cutoff switch.  Might have to investigate.

I used a Nava Isolation switch. I will place a cover over this to stop theives from shorting out the contacts.

I addes a lockable front. A padlock is used to lock.

I have one in the same spot in the Defender. I put a cylindrical guard around the front of the switch as I had visions of SWMBO picking up her bag, the strap catching the switch and the vehicle shutting off abruptly at speed!

I also used one of the ones where when the switch is off, the switch toggle can be removed. I know when I have that toggle, the Defender isn't going anywhere!

I have upgraded the ignition switch and added a battery isolation switch.

Yeah the covers will go over the head rest, tight fit though! I couldn't get my head rest out, probably never been out in 25 years so wasn't going to force it.

VERY nice. I don't suppose your CAD software exports to a Sketchup compatible file or engineering drawing? 

I like designing thing in CAD myself, but I can't see the point when others have done such a brilliant job in the first place!

Now that is fine work, it actually looks to be an original part - ring up LRA and get a contract... "Personnel Effects Security Screen"... $700. I can understand its very useful in certain areas. Or is it the case that you have a slobber dog you want to stay in "Economy Class".

Mate - really love your awning as I am going through the "where do I find a solution" now!
How are you mounting it on the roof rack? Can I ask what specs you gave Robco and would I be able to order a similar setup? Mine is also a GS and I'm also going to put solar on the rack as well.
I'd just love as much info as you can give please.
