FFR five door with a safari roof
« on: April 21, 2014, 01:07:04 PM »
Is there such a thing?

A fellow nearby just picked one up. I'll have to pop around and check it out.

If it was a Perentie, I'd say a Commander's Vehicle. Not sure about an S3 though....

Senior commander if a 110, if not, then I would say a FFR that has been rebodied by the army, or post army life.  Be interesting to see / hear more information though.

It's a 109. Series III. Hence, I posted in the series III section.
The fellow dropped in and chatted about it quite some time ago. He was thinking about buying a Landrover.
He dropped in recently to say he bought it and was very happy with it. I must try to get out there on the weekend.

There was one advertised on AULRO at Quambatook.
Looked like a bitsa, based on an FFR (front mounted exhaust) but 5 door with a safari roof.

I did send a PM but she never replied. I was half interested but SWMBO would not have been happy with another one.

That looks like the one.
The new owner is very happy with it. By the sounds of it it's not far off roadworthy and he has been driving it around the farm.

30-918 was the arn of it when it was a FFR.  Nothing to indicate when it became a wagon at this stage though.
