G'day ,

The black triangle is the military symbol for RECON.

Cheers,

Mick

Just for interest sake, the name on my Wksp is a 'Callsign' as it was with 2 Cav, call signs all start with 'T' Tango etc etc etc down to 'Tassie Devil', cheers mate Dennis  :)

Can tell you a little about 2 Cav names the first letter tells you what sqn the veh belongs to all A sqn names start with A , B for B sqn, Tek support Sqn ( also know as LAD) started with T, C for C sqn as Dennis says C sqn was added after they moved to Darwin. The black triangle means A Sqn, a black square was B Sqn and a circle was C sqn .

Was told these codes meant 21 supply coy in nsw, vehicle type and configuration. I guess this was applied before it was auctioned off.
The red triangle apparently pointed to 2/3 field engineer regt.

Would these be ok for the rear of the workshop?

Mine are missing. My 88" has white ones, should I instead look for white mudflaps, just paint these or be happy with black?

These are cheap after market ones, might suit, the genuine ones have the LR logo, that you could paint if you wanted to.

I did find a small black wavey line, like a moustache under the passenger window on the door today. Definitely had a stenciled word or code. I could make out an R but I think I may have rubbed too hard.
