Hello Dave,
Nice looking workshop, are you going to uncover the door markings when you rebuild it?.

The Red Triangle will refer to unit/individual vehicle or division etc, there will most likely be a letter or number in or around it, Zulu Delta would be the one to ask about it.

Can anybody tell me what Shop Equipment, Utility, Truck mounted, 3/4 Ton, GS census 6037 means and what it could have been used for?

Thanks

Basically it was a spare parts van, would of carried seals, gaskets, filters etc also maybe tools etc, but whether it was used for that is another story, my Tooltime is a 6037 to and still had all the spare parts storage boxes in it, they are going back in.

I am now the owner of this workshop having bought it from Dave.
Rather than starting a new thread I thought I would just continue it.
Having a play today wet sanding the doors etc.
Have uncovered the tray ID. No. 188. Can anything be traced from this like you would a workshop trailer?
The triangles on the doors have been in the past red and also black. With a least three variations.

A bit more paint gone and an older marking appears. A large black square with a diagonal line.

edit: Have been informed this is a convoy marking. Indicating where the vehicle should be within it.

Have done a bit of sanding and have yet to uncover a christmas tree or vehicle name. Surely a vehicle that served up until 1992 would have recieved a name like other workshops on here.
