Tip of the iceberg so far,

Lots more to come - someone will be very busy selling all this off!

Yes this is "The Paddock" famous and well known to us "series" collectors

the fire tender rolled down the hill and hit a power pole when he was opening the gate one day! it's got a twisted chassis but is fully complete and original.

The trial mud tyres are interesting there is a photo of them during the trials somewhere in the archives

As Mike says, there is a lot more and some rare options for people, last time I counted there are 17 No5 trailers (combo of workshop or std) should be enough for everyone!

Happy bidding

cheers

Yes, I always thought there would be a big clearing sale there one day, I didn't expect them to come up on eBay.

It will be interesting to see what else comes up, all of the vehicles / trailers were purchased at auction in the 90s, driven there and then left to rot.

Does anyone recognise the 'radar trailer'?

Has anyone heard what has happened to the owner?

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi Mike,

I do know he went into a home about a year ago, at that stage most things non military where sold by community friends for him and the paddock cleaned up and the rubbished removed etc, but he did not want to sell any of the army gear. one of the ebay descriptions says it's an estate they are selling so I assume he has passed away.

Regards
Scott

Thanks for that Scott,

I'm sorry to hear that.

I only met Ian once at an auction when I bought my RAAF No 5 trailer- and I think he bought the other 4!

It certainly will be interesting to see what he had stashed away.

Cheers,

Mike.

Such a shame they were in good condition, then left to rot.

Most will need total rebuilds, big bucks.  Looking at whats for sale and been for sale over the last year, these starting price are very unrealistic.

Wayne might think the fire trucks good value, would be worth looking at what the full condition is, that would the one to spend another 15k on.
