"Austin Champ split rims (set of 5) also for land rover series 1, 2 or 3"

A rare find I would think.

Not that rare but they are different to the type used on series 1s.

That said you can make a reasonable facsimilie of the Series 1 type by using the Champ back/hub side and WWII Jeep outer rim.  You can then sell the outer rim to Jeep owners who want wider rims.

It's incredible what you can learn here. Thanks Diana, that's one for the vault  :)

Does it have a round at the end, or is it re crimped blanks?  If the latter, I have about 5-6 meters of the stuff somewhere.

I've no idea where it came from, I was given it by somebody else.  certainly I complied with the range instructions, and truthfully made the declaration, every time I have used an army range.

If someone buys the engine for fitting to a Land Rover, I would be happy to swap the truck bell housing and flywheel for the Land Rover bell and flywheel.  I'd also be interested in the A.C mount and pulley.

Something worth considering however is that 4bd1's vary vehicle to vehicle that they were fitted to with Isuzu relying on vehicle vins to get the right part numbers.

I am told that the Perentie and bushranger build 4BD1's have different valves and valve guides for example, and are not interchangeable.  Could be a bit of a conundrum for us in time.

Here's a different sort of Hardtop.  Even comes with a Observation Hole in the Roof.  Postage might be expensive.
