G'day Mick_Marsh

I wouldn't write that rear tub off yet, the stencil looks kinda right,Tommy might have a little better idea on that,if the engine is a turner then there is a good possibility that it will start, when I got mine in 86 I drove it home it fumed a little but ran OK, when I pulled it down there were broken rings on all 4 pistons, and 020thou slap/taper but it still started and ran smoothly

total rebuild and 18,000miles down the track snapped a conrod bolt at close to 100kph,on the way to Brisbane,we were all dressed up for funeral,so proceded at reduced speed, attended then 60 + klm's back home just got the revs right with no bad noise, about 70kph and made it home, dropped the sump(that's when I found the bolt head, stripped the motor and that was the only problem, the replacement motor has now done 174,00+ miles and is getting a new timing chain

cheers
