What are the correct tools for the front guards, shovel etc, and can you still get then? Or similar.

Ok, L to R,
late Plastic D handle, Early alloy and wood handle D D marked, T handle Two types both D D marked, T handles were common Vietnam era.
Manufacturers were generally Cyclone and Tullochs Phoenix, Trojan. some were DD marked a lot of the late Plastic handle types were not.

Matics, Most NO.5 Hytest, some where marked DD again some werent, there is a short version as well.
Handles, generic, cyclone, krugers etc, hard to find the correct type these days.

Axes, Most Hytest, though there are others, not often DD marked, Still possible to find the right type from some small hardware stores.

One of the T handled shovels would probably be for sale if my arm was twisted

Close up of DD on shovel. Hope this helps. MC

Hello Juddy,
Yes all LR shovels, Alloy/wood D handle ones are early, s2 etc, T handles, 60's-70's, plastic D s3-current. as a general guide, some early shovels would have been retained late into service.
