I have seen new ones at Land vehicle spares at silverdale I think they get them made on order you could try them if you get the plans most fabrication places can do them but they will cost ;)

  • The left and right hand tanks are the same.
  • The SIII are 16 gallon tanks and the SII/SIIa are 10 gallon.
  • You can't fit the Aussie underseat SIII tanks to a SII/SIIa without modification of the chassis.  This involves removing the front tank bracket and fitting another at the back of the outrigger that supports the firewall.
  • The Aussie Army SIIa tanks have dipsticks fitted to the top, but these can be unsoldered from the old tank and fitted to the replacement.  Take it to a radiator repair specialist if you don't feel up to the job yourself.

Four Wheel Drives  in Melbourne used to sell them repro. http://www.landrovers.com.au/ 03 9890 0500.  If you cant get them from Jim,

You could ask Simon Allen to make you a set.  Simon is in Castlemaine VIC and a Tin Wizard IMO. In the phone book I guess.

Yes LH and RH are the same on S2a's.

Cheers

Ian
Many and various pieces of tin with wheels.
