S3 wiring

hey guys doing up a S3 6 cylinder landrover Ex mil and need new wiring loom is there someone in Victoria that can do it and im wanting to have it changed over to l.e.d lights instead of old globes and don't want to do it by myself as in its life time with me im taking her around Australia so I need it be not dodgy  as it already is thanks from 2 farm boys

I had a fellow here in Sydney quote me $2500 for a new loom fitted unfortunately he has retired and his son is more interested in loud sound systems but most older auto elects should be able to do it if you want to do it yourself there is vintage wiring down your way

ive come a cross them on AULRO and they said they have never done 1 before for S3 only done 2 ,2a but I forgot to tell them I might be able to come across a colour diagram if it helps them should I give them a second try with that? did ask some old elects near by just by judging $1200 not seeing or knowing what it looks like ive looked at the original and made me want to hit my head on something hard didn't know were to start and were to finish

yeh for some reason series 3 wiring gets messed up as soon as civies got hold of them :(
I would try them again and tell them about the diagram it may help

these fellas did a good job on the whole car mate wiring,ive got 2 fuel filters now lol they did smash out the front glass on passengers side im guessing to shoot out of? burnt valve as they put on gas no clue what they were doing there and 2 broken valve guides big mess but I love her :)

You can get a lot of the individual harnesses which will likely be sufficient for your needs, to replace the damaged ones.   The LED lamps will merely be changing the flasher can to an electronic one.

If you want to go that way, try P.A Blanchards in the UK. https://secure.pablanchard.co.uk/search.asp but you'll need to supply the part numbers for which ones you want.  (I'm sure someone here will provide them for you).

yes FFRMAN I have in S.A picking up my "new" hardtop for my S3 that landrover had a massive chain to it lol thank you aswell :) was on here a good 6 yrs ago but I forgot my password and log on

looks like I can have a lot of fun on that web site with my bank card with a lot of things going to wait till my funds catch up with me but im thinking of starting all over again with the harness a lot of the plugs are like sand in my hands they just fall apart in my hands

G'day Armyuggles   :)

I have and can send you a copy (by snail mail) of the genuine Leyland Series 3 military wiring diagram which has has both the colours and the legend,I am not computer literate enough to post it up but Phoenix should have a master copy in his archives  :)

good day Uncle Ho yes ill be very keen to look at the wiring loom lay out might be even more easy too read I have looked it up on google and I still cant get head and tails of it lol but im no expert at reading wiring looms it just looks like lines and squiggles made by Mr. Squiggle
