Hi All, Well I’m in Darwin for the winter ,staying at the daughters place nice weather .. Ok on the way here last week 350 ks or so up from Port A. We came on to a large caravan on its side ,blocking the best part of the highway. No one was hurt but the traffic was not doing well . I asked if they would like help to get it back on its wheels ect, Yes please,The safety chains were holding the New Rangys Back wheels off the road by 18 inches plus , and they couldn’t get to the D shackles to drop it . I had the side cutter ,grinder, and with the lend of a Honda 2000 cut them both. The Rangy hadn’t rolled so was fine to drive ,just a nice dint in the side rear gard.. I backed over a table drain dropping both rear wheels in ,pulled the cable out and hooked it over the top wheel on the van , she pulled it back very easy and the van dropped back the right way up, I then used the van as a hitch point to pull me up out of the drain.. All went well .Just as it was finished the police turned up, I wasn’t sure if all was ok, he had a big smile and said thank you ect. Then I said ,you are going to be mad at me ,, what for,, well you have missed out on 6 to 8 hours of over time directing traffic .. Yes he said you better put it back where it was.. with a big smile .The owners where not from here and looked at me in wonder when ,after they thanked me , I said the bill is in the mail… That took as long to explain as did getting the van on its wheels..First time I have used the 6be to help .. felt good , sorry I didn’t get any photos to put up ,things were ..quick as you can thing.. Stay safe …Bob
