I like it Chuck, I might have to try something similar.

I got fed up with having to load the oztent onto the roof every time i want to use (its just too long to fit in the back). I lashed out and spent $4 on a length of pine and spent a couple of hours cutting and drilling it accordingly. Bit rough, but if it works this weekend i might think about a neater more permanant solution.
It also raised another question; I wonder if the now un used stretcher holders would make good fishing rod holders? Yes, yes they do :)

Started making my centre console.

wanted it big as i could get away with to stash camera gear and laptop away in.

The handle to lock it all away and the whole thing will be coated by Line X inside and out making it 100% waterproof

He is not kidding about it staying there for long. The jerry can holders are reasonably solid and take some good hits!

That was a clay bank down a chute.

Another day, another side.

Looks good Chuckt ,I did the same put steel straping under bolted through and bolted to the seat holes, Dont think it will move.. A small fold down flat board is the dogs ride, with a ( safty ) clip at the back. Carnt have pooch going out the windscreen... plus its the law to have her clipped in..

Added a Hayman Reece style towbar to Brutus today. I used a s/hand towbar from a Nissan Patrol coil cab that I got from the local dump shop for $30. A bit of cutting and modifying produced this result. Tomorrow I will do the wiring plug and that's about it. Bit of aluminium paint on it atm but it will get galvanised shortly. I reckon it will handle the 3.5 ton Sharkcat no worries plus a bit of stump pulling!!!

There should already be a civvy socket on it. Rear right wheel arch. On the rear cross member if I remember right.

I thought the same. I thought they were only on the cargo.
Mine is an Air Defence. When I started looking around to see where I could splice a civvy trailer socket into the loom, I found it. Since then, every one I have looked at (not many) since has had the civvy trailer plug, if not on the rear cross member on the back of the Perentie, on the rear cross member on the inside of the rear wheel arch.
Maybe it was a mod yours didn't get.

Looks like a brought one Brian, well done. I had all the wires out from the Nato plug ,was about to start cutting and joining when I spotted the 7 pin plug on the right hand side under the tool box. Was a sort of happy peeeed off feeling.. One should look before rushing in..
Wouldnt pull stumps but, they can be a tough lot....

Thanks Bob, marvellous what a bit of paint will do!  You probably noticed I copied your idea of bracing from the rear spring hanger. Maybe the later Bushranger build ones like mine didn't get the 7 pin plug. I have been over every inch of it since I purchased it and there is no plug other than the Nato one.

I think you have done very well !! Welding is a bit better than the chicken scratching that comes out of my old arc.
