One offs are not a problem only when we get a member selling multiple items in general threads or when I get complaints :D

I agree fully, the forum is only for sharing information not for selling, there is a location for those to use if they wish to sell. The person made the cubby box made it for themselves to make their vehicle a bit individual, I didn't see him advertising them for sale. It seems to me that everytime some one puts up a picture of something they have made for themselves people want to buy one. If you want one that bad make it yourself its not hard it just takes a little thought and some effort. I think that many would agree on this point keep the forum for the sharing of ideas and information and for those who want to sell use the appropriate area.
Cheers

Juddy believe me I don't set out to harrass you but its very hard to see the difference some times between what Landy Bitz sells and what is yours personally ;)

I see where confusion may come into this, but me and landybitz are very much independent, I am not the voice of Landybitz.

Rod, I understand what you are saying, but in the process of sharing ideas, there will be someones solutions to a problem, or an out of the box way to fix an issue. I really liked the cubby box that was shown, and it looked better than the one I purchased for my Perentie.
My problem is that I do not have the skills or equipment to make anything like that one shown.
If the person who makes the item has the desire to fund their habit by selling something they made, it is up to them to say yes or no. Some time ago there was considerable discussion of a snorkel someone made and I recall there were many requests to be able to have it made.
I think the sharing of "stuff" on the forum is both informational and physical - it's just a matter of finding the best way to do it.
I've been able to help others out here with the indicators for the air cleaner by buying in bulk while I was in the USA - it wasn't profit driven, just me wanting to help others out - if it got too hard, I could have said no, and left it at that.
Just mt 2 cents worth.

Its amazing how different it is between states!
I got a permit, drove out to the auctioneers and hooked it on, went home via motor reg and paid the $45 (I think) and was given the plates. No inspection at all, and we used the army chassis number for the ID as I told them it was made in 1970 and there were no VIN numbers at that time.
Drove home, put the plates on, and that was it!

It was good to get something in good time without being jerked around for 4 weeks.

Also there's no need for a permit here if you going for an inspection. I'll get the plates tmrw.

I didn't do anything with my own Berzerker.  It's still safely resting in the shed.
I did go to Hamilton in Brisbane today with a good local friend who has just bought a 6x6 from last weeks auctions.
My job was to drive it home.

In technical terms it's  202-189 from the AFM auctions at Hamilton Qld in Oct 2015.
Description is Truck Inf Carrier, Bushranger 6x6, FFR Winch MC2.  ARN number not yet in the ARN Listings.

Well, what an absolute pleasure.  I've driven 6x6s a few times but they were commonly the earlier trayback ute types.
I can understand why people are setting them up as campervan carriers.  They certainly are the perfect base for that.

In the case of this one it'll be staying as is but adapted for use as a camping module but available for Anzac Day type duties.
A bit like what Scary in Rockhampton is doing hopefully.  It's named already as "The Walrus"  Big, Strong and Powerful.

A quick scan of the Logbook before we set off confirmed the low mileage and good condition.   The previous history involved
being issued to an Inf. Reserve Unit in SE Qld followed by a RAAC Reserve Unit in Victoria in the whole twenty year lifespan.
What an easy life and it shows.  The most worrying thing is the ripped or decaying sections of the canopy.
Probably due to lying around in a compound for long periods of time.

Some piccies and a bit more detail of any outings once my mate Registers as a member and gets more involved.
Stay tuned for more.
Greg Mac.
