Not actually what I did, but more to the point, what some others owners did to their Perenties.
They parked them next to a REAL landrover!

The highlight of the Esk show!

Glen

Hi Glen
I can't see a real land rover there but I can see a Unimog.
You should buy a Perentie so you can fit in on these outings.
Cheers

Rod, did you notice the only vehicle that had its bonnet up. That says a lot.

Picked up my Landy today, after getting power steering fitted, and new clutch slave cylinder done.
Just enjoyed the drive home in it.

Played arrount with Spanner Roo's electrics today in prep for licencing.
Sorted all bar the reverse lights and dash lights. Traced wiring but apperat to be no power at the fuse (or what I think the fuse is).
GB switch tested ok. Wiring diagram shows and engine switch in series to the GB switch. Gotta keep looking...
Cleaned up the dimmer but no joy on the dash lights.
Dark now so before I cover her up I'm going to have a little play.
On an plus note, GB looks clean as and chassis looks unmolested. A little surface rust that will need hiding (er I mean treating).
I little more work to go before rego. Key switch took 3 mins tops.

Cliffy, I think the reverse light needs oil pressure to operate. If the engine isn't running, it won't glow.

I pulled off the PVC sides. They're bolted on with lots of SS hex socket cap screws.
No rope slides Scott.
Getting new zips.
I suspect the sides are going to be more difficult to put back on.

Dash lights up (most).
Did not get to start yet and try reverse.
Lost headlights too unless they are on the same deal as reverse lights.

Ok, the wiring diagram shows 2 8a fuses on the BO switch circuit.
I recon I found one in the engine bay over the drivers footwell.
Where's the other one?

Have been getting odd clicks from the electrics when starting recently, so replaced the ignition switch with one I got on ebay - problem solved!
The other issue I had with the old switch was that when I put a new keyed barrel into it, I would sometimes pull the whole barrel out with the key. Stuffed around with it for ages and could not get the new barrel to stay put. I guess there was some wear in it because it now stays in place in the new switch when I pull the key out.
Now to put a cubby box in the center seat section.
