Well, on the first one I built a box with a base and used a 110 LR County cover to attach the base of that box to.

On the one in the  pictures I merely used the plastic base with the rifle butt holders to attach to the walls of the box with screws through into the ply walls

Both types of cover simply attach to the seat base structure with screws.

This was the first  effort.

It surprised me how high the armrest can be.

Nice looking cubby box, dugite.
When the awol prototypes were made,I was skeptical. Too much time with only a butt in that place (and an rtf100, rations, thermos etc). Once I took it for a drive I got used to it pretty quick! Makes the gear change seem smoother.
Kind Regards, Barefoot Dave.

 8) nice beach pic. Any others from the trip - a top area to see.
Also, I note you have the jackall across the bonnet using the wingnuts for the gardening gear. Did it rattle a lot or is there some rubber in the mix?

Added a console in between the 6x6 seats to house the radio/stereo, Codan HF, HD power points for the engel etc plus spare switches for things to come  :). I have also added insulation and marine carpet to the whole interior of the cab as well as a Red Dot rooftop aircon. Made it a lot quieter and considerably cooler inside.  ;D

Next on my schedule is the long range fuel tank (350 L) and a 85L water tank which both fit in the huge gap under the tray ( plus a 2nd spare) Pics to come in a couple of weeks when I get it all finished.
