I got mine dropped off today only to be played with my Daughter and her Partner. Pity I wont see it for a few weeks but it is what it is.

Just put the plate on Layby from PPQ and is in keeping with my Defender 90 for those who know me

All going to plan should be on the road by August when I return from my travels

Garry

I cant seem to upload a photo though.

Finally installed a new optima starting battery to go with the auxiliary optima yellow top. Everything fits really well, but did have a few hassles.
The existing earth lead was not long enough so had to replace that.
And then I pulled too hard on the positive lead to the starter solenoid, which caused the lead to come lose on the terminal and when I went to tighten the nut, the thread was stripped on the post on the solenoid.
Then I dropped the bloody nut and couldn't find it, so found another with the same thread, packed a couple of washers into it, and now it is nice and tight!
Then it all started and ran like a top!

I thought there was a rule for mandatory photos with posts haha

But seriously, I have ideas of doing the same thing so wouldn't mind seeing a photo of the setup. Did you buy a tray for the batteries or DIY it?

I did try photos, but kept getting an error message. I don't normally have problems. I'll try with this post!!!

I get the message

"Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server administrator for more information."

The files are both 400px x 400px and 50kb each - but it wont let me post!!!!!!

Added a couple of ciggy adapter points in the back for my portable fridge off the 24v circuit.  She was in KLR during the week for a few bits and pieces, had a Mantec TD5/4 Snorkel fitted, 7 pin trailer plug, a replacement 2nd hand rear brake assembly and new pin in the hand brake lever (was wonky since I got her), and new seals on the PTO and winch selector .. she doesn't mark her territory more ..  :D :D

After replacing the front axle housing and tie rod ends on the track rod, I took her in for a wheel alignment. An hour later they admitted they couldn't do it with their laser machine. Thanks Kmart tyre and auto. I even explained how to do it with a piece of string and a calculator, but it was already in the too hard basket by then. Ugh.

It's even easier than that mate. Put a chalk mark in the middle of each front tyre half way up at the front, measure it with a tape measure, roll it backwards until the chalk mark is at the back and remeasure it. Get them equal and you're home and hosed, no fancy stuff needed here as there is toe in/out adjustment only - no camber/castor adjustment.
