Have noticed a few guys have roll cages on their 109's that look like the ones off the 110's anyone know where to get them or have a drawing of them ?Were they used on the seies 3's in service?

Most of the ones in photos are just a larger diameter pipe in place of the canopy hoop.  Very few are actually ROPS connected to the chassis.  It is an issue that has been debated at length in the past, and the best answer is to drive sensibly and not roll it.  THe larger hops provide some protection, but not a patch on an actual ROPS.

My FFR has one and it is identical to the ones on the 110's. I'm pretty sure they were fitted so the seat belts had somewhere to go on to.

Well I spose the army had seat belts so it could have been fitted when they were built or in service.

The soft-top 110 Rovers had ROPs fitted very early in service after a number of fatal rollovers.

Nato mans series 3 appears to have one , once you get the computer turned upside down.

mine has one, not the best set up, just bolted through the tray with a bit of flat plate underneath.
 
for a chassis mount i'd be tempted to go behind the seats, through the floor and onto the rails. alot stronger then some 1/4 bolts through the bodywork.
