by the time i find tdc no1, its cold..... do you need a crank handle?  manual says to rotate 1/3rd turn between cyclinders for adjustment..

my method.......it's handy to have a crank handle.
  1) warm up engine to normal operating temp
  2) remove spark plugs and rocker cover
  3) turn engine with crank handle until No.1cyl valves are rocking
(exhaust almost closed and inlet beginning to open)
  4) adjust both valves No.6 cylinder
  5) turn engine 1/3 revolution until No.5 valves are rocking
  6) adjust both valves No.2 cylinder
  7) turn engine 1/3 revolution until No.3 valves are rocking
  8) adjust both valves No.4 cylinder
  9) turn engine 1/3 revolution until No.6 valves are rocking
10) adjust both valves No.1 cylinder
11) turn engine 1/3 revolution until No.2 valves are rocking
12) adjust both valves No. 5 cylinder
13) turn engine 1/3 revolution until No.4 valves are rocking
14) adjust both valves No.3 cylinder
15) consume 6 cold stubbies
17) re-fit rocker cover and spark plugs
18) repeat step 15
19) remove crank handle
20) repeat step 18
job completed.
