AUSCAM Inter 6x6

Found this Inter 6x6 for sale on Gumtree.

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/wynyard/heavy-farming-agriculture-equipment/ex-army-6x6-tipper/1023414743

A closer look will show the 'modern' AUSCAM style camouflage scheme painted on the cab and chassis rail. The scheme does look authentic. If it is a tipper as described in the heading, the tipper body would have received the same scheme.

I have searched through my photo collection and the REMLR website and cannot find a photo of the Inters painted this way.

It would be worthwhile if someone who lives close to Wynyard, TAS pay the seller a visit and take some detailed photos of the camo scheme of the cab chassis and tipper body (if still on property). If it is a genuine 'one off' then it would be nice to have a photographic record of it.

I have the chassis number from the one at Minto, it was one from tasmania that the boys had been holding on to for some time.  It came up to the midlands military meet and rendezvous once.  I'll have to find the pics of it.

Looks like she has been used as a vegetable hauler up the coast.  I know a lot have been used for that because it is hard going for any civilian off road truck.  Might send the info to a mate in the Defence Transport Heritage of Tas who has a farm up that way.
