The PTO on the LT95 gearbox is quite different, but you could adapt the winch drum.  In fact the usual Perentie PTO is a chain driven bottom output.

What you should be looking for is a the output for "Thomas" PTO winch off an early Range Rover, Stage 1 Land Rover or Civilian 4 speed 110.

The main difference is that on the Perenties the drum is under wound with the fairlead at the bottom of the drum instead of the usual over wound design.

For the 6X6 you need the original bottom output.

On the LT95 PTO the selector is integral with the output with the selector shaft running in from the rear alongside the output shaft.  The LT95 ones also have a larger mounting flange than the Series type.

The series gearbox PTO has a selector top that replaces to cover over the top of the mainshaft.  You can see the selector fork in one of your pictures.

The drum appears to be a "Thomas", which is the same type as on the Perenties.

Pretty much correct.

The bottom PTO for the LT95 are almost made of unobtanium, the last one I purchased cost well over 2K.

Hence why looking for a rear PTO from a 4 speed Range Rover or Stage 1 may be your best option.  (A rear PTO will prevent you using a Fairey overdrive, but Perenties usually don't need them)

If the shafts are not long enough, the shafting is readily available from engineering steel suppliers.

4cyl or 6cyl?

If you want a Perentie winch I'd be looking at a wreck from graysonline, give it a few more auctions and you'll get the complete winch for a fair price and a few spare parts wrapped around it!

Looking at Wayne's winch the rear shaft looks shorter than the front shaft so it would be off a 2 1/4 motor. typically Thomas winches where fitted to series 2 and 2A civilian but also army sometimes, Bamford where fitted to 2A and S3 (2.6lt motor)

This is off a military vehicle as it still has the brush bar supports attached.

So my guess, it would fit straight onto a 2A military 4 cylinder

Cheers
Scott
