Well 113-372 behaved today, down n back without any issues, although it was very cold heading off this morning I believe it was -1 when I left and I can assure you my left ear was burning before I had traveled a mile (1.6k), I had singlet/shirt/track suit top/Land Rover jacket/army bush coat on and I still froze LOL
, thank who ever that I don't live any further Sth
.
I arrived at around 0845hrs, to see quite a few vehicles already there, I was directed to park near an old Land Rover, an old Land Rover indeed??!!!, it was John T's restored 80", anyway I parked next to it and was soon joined by John T himself, checking over 113-372 as he had not seen it in the flesh, we discussed all things Land Rover and my new project the Series 1 86", when along came a S2A Bloodbox owned by Wayne D, with none other than 'Judge Dredd' aka Graham D, he used to own 113-372.
Weather wise it was perfect, lots of people n vehicles, here is an image of 113-372 and Graham D posted with his full permission
he did say to say G'day to those who know him!
here is another image
Graham had that many people come up to him that either knew him from work or around the district, I'm certain that made his day even more enjoyable, the only extra item I took, was a PRC 77 set.
this image is of the 'old Land Rover' in fact it is John T's 80" with the 'Judge' checking the authenticity of the vehicle!!, he is like that and despite his disability he is spot on!!
There were lots of expensive vehicles there today from Rools Royces to E type Jags, all types of Rover cars including my favourite the P6B 3500S 5 speed manual drool drool, but this one caught my eye a Supercharged Armstrong Siddley
more of it
and yet more
you should have heard the engine running
Some cars that I have only ever seen in books like this Jag
and this one
and close to my heart and adolescent life the Mk1 Cooper 'S'
and these 2 Minis with some unusual mods, this one with a BMW motorbike engine (only the head etc)
and this one with a ?? Suzuki engine?
well I had a great day out meeting up with friends, cheers Dennis
