series 3 fuel pump
« on: May 16, 2013, 10:23:51 PM »
Does anyone know a source of oem 6 cylinder electric fuel pumps (prc 3901 )? I know there are ones available for $250 (that sell in the UK for $50-75) but I was hoping someone knew of 2nd hand or cheaper new stock in Australia. Any help appreciated.

Regards
Gary

G'day 81ffr  :)

If you still have your old one, then Kevin Baker at Witta on the Sunshine Coast may have the repair parts to suit, he is the "Lucas Man" and has a very extensive new Lucas parts stock.
K.B.Classic Parts 2 Margaret St Witta Qld Ph(07)5494 4221  Ex-Lucas spares man  ;)

NOTE: he is not on Computer or the Internet.

Thanks Uncle Ho - mine isn't the SU style electric pump so I'm not sure it's repairable. I know you can do the points and diaphram in the older SU ones successfully but I'll give Kevin a call just in case.
