This is my first post and I'm already begging...not a good start!

I would also love a copy of the manual, been searching everywhere for one (except for here of course).

my email is wanderinglost74@yahoo.com.au if this is possible. I've got a Perentie 110 Hardtop wagon - my user name is the asset number.

Many many thanks

Hmm, that 'asset number' would be the Army Registration Number (ARN) 48354, I assume?

A 'Truck, Personnel Carrier, Land Rover, NSN 2320-66-128-4225'. In October 1993, it was being held in storage in Cat.1 condition by Brisbane Logistics Battalion, (unit serial 30011).

When did you acquire it, please?

Wow that was some fast digging...where did you get that detail from? Does that imply it has been in storage since 1993 in good condition or is Cat 1 condition not the best?

I've always wanted an ex army landrover since I borrowed a mates sIII for a few months 13 years ago. Picked it up only a few weeks go and would love to know it's history if possible.

Thanks

Did you want to go to the REMLR website, information for members- and apply for registrant membership then we can add vehicle info to our database etc etc

Yes I did. Found the experience harrowing as you really don't know where you stand...I actually didn't know I had won the bidding on mine and almost went after another! Not a very intuitive site for a bidder. Luckily I paid the lower end of the range but I didn't properly read up about the buyers premium which gave me a bit of bill shock! The three hard top wagons on grays finishing in an hour are all sitting for more but still look pretty good. Luckily my better half said that once I get my hands on it I wouldn't care and she was right. It's exactly what I wanted and was in better condition than I expected to be honest and I'm making any excuse to jump in a cruise around.

I've printed off the register form and will try and fill out this afternoon and email back...my day is getting away from me so worst case tomorrow.

Thanks

Dunny

Congratulations on your purchase Dunnuy!!  Yes, the Asset number is indeed the Army Registration number for the vehicle as the defence force has it's own regstration scheme.  So any photos we find with that registration number are of your exact vehicle!!

I would encourage yo to register with remlr, there is no cost at all, and then we know how to contact you! http://remlr.com/remlrregistration.html

This page lists information about your, and other, vehicles in the 48-000 upwards range of registrations http://remlr.com/ARN/ARN-48.php

"Wow that was some fast digging...where did you get that detail from?" - a mis-spent youth and middle age gathering and compiling research data.

" Does that imply it has been in storage since 1993 in good condition or is Cat 1 condition not the best?" - Cat 1 was the highest, ie it was maintained in a condition ready for issue. Once a Unit was authorized to have a vehicle with that NSN (either as a swap for an existing vehicle, a change in their authorized equipment, or as a 'loaner' for a particular purpose of exercise) then your vehicle was available for issue from BLB to fulfill that need. It may have been issued post 1993 to a Unit, or left in storage - that I don't know. How many K's on the clock?

Haha fair enough. It has almost 170k on the clock at the.moment and there is nothing that I can see that would make me think that it has been replaced (unless all guages have at the same time long ago).

Thanks
