Early stages of the Sydney to Newcastle Freeway.
NSW Gov't Colour Film. 20mins. No Hi Vis and other safety issues. Remarkable. 20c Toll at Berowra. I remember that alright.

Lots of car memories... and there are other films similar.   :)

Yes lots of the videos on Youtube - and then the toll was 20c Berowra to Brooklyn then when both sections complete - another 20c from Brooklyn to Calga - an expensive exercise at the time but a lot cheaper now as it is free - the Harbour Bridge was 5c at the time and you only paid on the south bound run.

... or the Harbour Bridge was no toll if you drove a very military-looking Land Rover FWR!! I was visiting a mate in Sydney when we cruised up to the toll gate, and were let through without stopping. Dave said he was always mistaken for a Govt vehicle at the bridge.
