Heads up for next year's AAVA weekend, Sept 2015
« on: September 25, 2014, 09:53:28 AM »
 :D

I attended Australian Armoured Vehicle Association's annual weekend at Camden Park House (Macarthur's Merino farm, south west Sydney). I intend to join up as a member.

I have thrown up a quickie web album of the AAVA event that we really enjoyed. I also added some videos of the vehicles running members of the public onto REMLR-TV on youtube.

Hands up any other members who would pay for short rides in armoured military heritage as seen in the videos? The income generated is to cover fuel costs.

Perhaps the AAVA committee can consider a designated soft-skin area to do a REMLR display (with cam nets etc) opposite the AAVA line up. It would surely boost $ income from rides by REMLR members on the Saturday perhaps?

Thanks Diana, thanks Mr Booger.

Hi Ross

It was a pleasure to have you, just wish we weren't having problems with the Striker or would have got you all a ride.

I thought I'd see you at Minto, did you go to NRMA first or something, it seems that B 52's trailer lost a bearing cap and nut either between the photos and pick-up or on the way over to storage.  :'(

Actually the charges were to subsidise transport costs, at $950 per vehicle getting it there and back is a heafty impost on a hobby for a couple of days activity.

Hence why one of the members of the Pittwater Motor Enthusiasts Club was given permission to use his HCRS Leyland Mastiff to carry one of the Ferrets.
