Air Filter for '88 GS 4x4
« on: February 02, 2014, 08:16:51 AM »
Hi everyone, I've had a look through the forum but couldn't find the info, but I was after the part number for a replacement air filter both inner and outer for my GS 4x4. I have the part number from the RPS but a google search was uneventful. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Aaron

G'day Aaron,

I've just recently compiled the filter part numbers myself for my GS for the two filter companies of which I have a local supply. Donaldson I get from a Hitachi heavy machinery place and Fleetguard from Truckline.

Donaldson
- Donaldson P550422 (Oil)
- Donaldson P900433 (Air, Main)
- Donaldson P900434 (Air, Inner)
- Donaldson P550588 (Fuel)

Fleetguard (Truckline)
- Fleetguard LF3642 (Oil)
- Fleetguard AF4059K (Air, Main)
- Fleetguard AF988 (Air, Inner)
- Fleetguard FF5030 (Fuel)

It should be easy enough to cross reference other brands from these numbers.

Awesome, thanks Dervish, might try those part numbers around some of the truck/machinery companies here. Should hopefully get a hit on the part numbers.

I haven't removed the air filter from my 6x6 yet but I'm assuming its the same as my old civi 110 - you don't need to replace the filter, you can wash it out with water and detergent and re-use it.  Donaldson sold a special powder detergent just for the job.  You need to plan the clean as it takes about a day for the filter to dry before you use it again

hope this helps

Some filters are washable, others are not. My civi 110 has a non-washable type of filter.

Here's the website, it isn't helpful:

I can't vouch for the one at Greystanes...
