Maybe it's something that's not done anymore . I don't know the road rules here on towing trailers but I can't see why 2 would be a issue

Not legal anywhere, and extremely unsafe in emergency braking situations, have a thought for the innocent road users around you. Time to get off the soap box... I've tried this around the farm with three trailers behind and it gets pretty wild and can track quite wide when braking.

Glad you told me, I had no idea it was a bad thing, not that I have two trailers to tow.

On the farm we pull a lot of gear in a tri configuration, on and off the road, and the trailed equipment gets the wanders every now and then unless you keep the power on - you do need to plan when you want to stop.... of course with farm equipment it is legal as long as it's not on highways and is in designated farming regions.

I have photos of me having fun pulling 3 No5's somewhere (it is good fun) but I'll have to get down off my high horse to find them!!! Lol

Thanks for the info. I have an artic. licence, but curiosity on reversing army trailers in that combination had me wondering. Again thanks for info.

Still legal in South Australia in this situation (this Notice valid until 30 June 2012):

http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/pdfs/freight/Gazette_Notice_Citrus_Trailers_June_2011__2_.pdf

I seem to remember seeing even more than two being towed and was told when I asked a SAPOL officer he laughed and said he had seen two box trailers being towed this way full of furniture when he was younger (that was in 1971 when I first went to Ayers Rock with the Land Rover Owners Club of Victoria).

There you have it! Load them up with citrus fruit and away you go.
The local orchardists do that with their fruit. Tractors towing two or three trailers from orchard to coolstore are often seen around the streets in fruit picking season.
