brake pedal box seal

Hi can anyone tell me if their is a gasket or do i use butyl tape to seal the brake pedal box to the fire wall
when i removed the pedal box their was butyl tape on it but my clutch pedal box had a rubber gasket
all untouched original army

Butyl tape would be perfect. I've seen same as you black gue ie butyl and rubber gaskets

I make mine using 'Insertion' rubber, it has always worked A1 for me, but the choice is yours, cheers Dennis :)

I use windscreen sealant.

It really doesn't matter what you use even silicone would work well,
