I could be wrong, but i thought 88 was 101 Field Workshop not 106 Fd Wksp.
After all was posted there for many years in the 70s.
-
Hi Hoo Doo,
I reckon we could both be right as I think the number was shared???
Being a former spanner , you'd be better placed to know 😊👍
Cheers mate ,

Nice collection, Mick. Great reference material.
Have you ever considered adding a date range/start date to each plate caption?
Mike

Hi Phil,
Thank you Monty :)
Hi Mike,
Thank you, thats a great idea and will take a bit of work but is probably worth while. I`ll have a look at it. :)
I have a fair few more to post and will get them up first.
Take care,
Mick

Hi Boys,
here are a few more for your enjoyment.

And a couple more

More to follow:

Great collection Mick.
FYI - for the RASIG units, the word ‘Signals’ should be singular, not plural.
ie:
103 Signal Squadron
126 Signal Squadron
2 Signal Regiment
Cheers.

Never knew about 3rd Div.. could it be Dads Army? I'd join up. :)
(Seriously wonderful collection Mick - must belong in a equally good mancave...)

Hi Ross,
I thought a picture might be the best reply :)
-
..... a picture is worth a thousand words mate !
-
... Capt America's lid a keepsake from a joint-exercise or something? Must be a story there. :)

A story for another time Ross :)
Here are a few more

Still coming:
-
Mick,
Are these reproductions, original, or original restored, or a mix of all three, please? They look very clean: the only ones I ever seem to obtain are scratched, dirty, rusted edges, and so on.
Nice collection: good reference.
Mike

Hi Mike,
They are a mix of all three, some original unit plates. The 1st Div, Training , Logistic , and Field Force Commands decals are all original as is the Southern command 3MD, Army Head Quarters and 3rd Div decals.
I have cranked out a few plates and will do a few more along the way. You planted a seed when mentioning in a earlier post to include relevant dates used and will do some work on that. I've also made a couple of errors which I'll tidy up.
I am interested in the topic and feel a ready reference is needed with those inflicted with the passion of army vehicles :)
Any advice you might feel may help would be appreciated Mike.
Cheers,
Mick
