Title: New Perentie lover in US
Post by: USAreed on September 18, 2020, 07:12:32 AM
G'day y'all.
In Colorado USA  and after a couple of Discoverys over the years have snagged a 1990 Perentie 110 Log book says ARN: 50-378 still doing some work to try and find out where she might have done service for the Army.  Loving this truck. Don't plan any major upgrades, would like to keep her as is for as long as possible.

I am curious- on this truck and other photos I've seen there's a def difference in the green tone on the front seats - normal use or was this purposeful?

Thanks for all the info I've found already on here and on AULRO

 8) welcome to REMLR.

I have a pic of your seats below. The original auction of 50378 (almost exactly 3 years ago) is still online... https://www.graysonline.com/lot/0001-7017718/

The lefthand side (passenger) seat is the original production Stratos seat made in Australia. The righthand (passenger) side is one of the replacement seats made by the ISRI company, also Australian. Seats were replaced as required due to wear and tear, foam fatigue, and biohazard (meaning that some vehicles went to overseas locations and when returning Australian Customs/Quarantine requirements were very strict on 'organic items'). They were in service for a quarter of a century... My FFR has a set of replacement ISRI seats and then -later- the driver seat cushion was again replaced - but with a Stratos cushion... and I would guess that was due to wear and tear.

Where were you able to source this beauty? I'm in Indiana trying desperately to find one.

You need to register with AFM so you can receive auction notifications, and you will need the services of somebody here in Australia to organise your shipping, I did see one advertised in the US but the price was up there, cheers dennis
