Hi All,
For those heading to Corowa this year the Blighty overnight stay is happening. I visited the pub a couple of weeks ago and there is a new licensee, the place has been cleaned up, and most importantly the motor for the beer system has been repaired. The food and service has improved significantly.
The trip will tie in with the Dookie trip scheduled on Wednesday, we`ll cut away from the Dookie Convoy after lunch and head to Blighty via Shepparton and Tocumwal. Those of you interested in the Berrigan Trip the following day could meet the group at Berrigan without much effort and the others can push through back to Corowa.
This year at Blighty there will be a presentation of a photo of the inaugural visit in 2018 and we`ll run a new Aussie Flag up the flag pole at the Rural Fire Service shed - following on from Car zee's effort in 2018.
Those interested could you let me know so I can warn out the publican?
Cheers,
Mick

Count me in Mick,
Good to see that this is a goer in 2019, I was wondering what we would do to replace it! :D

Last year's lamb cutlets are still very fresh in the memory. I'm up for it. I will bring the Gaviscon and avoid the cutlets.
Cheers

Thanks Mick, looking good for 2019. To say the obvious, 2018 with Lovedale oval etc will take a helluva lot to top, but we are looking forward to this year a lot. Cheers.

Thanks for replying boys, Dookie and Blighty should be fun. I forgot to mention there are donga's available at Blighty now.

Can you put up with a new comer to Corowa? If you can I would like to give Blighty a bash. This is providing I get a few bits of maintenance done in the next couple of weeks.

I will bring the Land Rover Cooma books for those who ordered and I might have on our two left over. If you still want one let me know.

Blighty 2019 was a good one!
Thanks to Mick and the staff at the Blighty. Biv was good - most slept well. The road was being remade, not just resealed. There was a new tourist sign highlighting the history, notably the arrival of WW1 veterans after the war and again after WW2. The government granted soldiers small parcels of land (way too small to be a going concern and threaten or damage the old school tie (established) agricultural wealthy betters).
The food was very good and the pub's taps and refrigeration system had been replaced ($$$$$$$$$$). All good!
REMLR membership numbers on the event increased by one when we arrived because Tom from NSW Central Coast was already there (unknown to us) to welcome us in his minty RFSV.
(This is just a brief report to fill in the others on the forum)

My thanks to Mick and the mob for the warm welcome for a new bod on the block. Leant heeps and even came away with a bit for my sons wirraway project.
Hope everyone travelled well going home. My old girl did not miss a beat.
Thanks again :) :)
