This is a recent ADF video with 4x4 and 6x6 G wagens.

That has been posted somewhere within this site before, I wouldn't cherish the thought of having to clean them up, cheers Dennis

I want to own 405-000.
-
You'll have to wait til the auction in 2040 sometime. You probably won't go yourself, you'll send one of your family's robots.
-
I'll have 400-002 and 15 years and they'll be disposed of, so 2030 onwards, might have some spare cash by then!
-
I suppose it could be sooner -for political correct reasons they may switch over to a electric engined fleet....

Trust me the GWagens are not holding up! Plenty of issues.

Well lads, our useless rep in fed signed us up 4 them when he had the job, so my advice is hide your 110's 6x6's as they know who has them and they will want them back LOL cheers Dennis

The chances of obtaining a GMV are becoming even slimmer.

Hi All
If you all come up this way for a visit we can take our perenties down for a play. It's with in an hours drive. There is some very challenging tracks down there to.
Cheers

Interesting driving!
Who noticed the brake lock-up coming down the hill? (Insert eek smiley) It appeared to be ABS, so perhaps it was HDC working, but a Rover, or an Inter would have eaten that hill without the need for any braking.
Perhaps the drivers were hamming it up for the cameras, but the speedway circuit with excessive wheel-spin would have had my T109 torn up, if I had tried that in the '80's.
As slow as possible but as fast as necessary; is still the best approach for the safety of the driver and passengers and the wellbeing of the vehicle.
-
Being clowns for the cameras...
And the ABS is disconnected as soon as you engage the centre difflock ;)
-
Noticed the locked up wheels. What sort of engine braking do you get in an automatic four wheel drive? I ask because I have never driven one.
I agree with Chazza, an Inter or Rover should walk down there without any trouble. If it was me driving it would be slower and less spectacular.
Notice the bow waves. If you did that at Pucka in 1970 you were volunteering for push ups.

Looks like fun :)

Agreed, paying silly buggers for the PR chicky babe. Because driving sensible doesn't make for interesting footage for some.
Geoff O, my discovery 2 was the first diesel auto 4x4 I'd driven. First time off road was a revelation! Electronic lock up torque convertor locks drive solid in low first. Snaps me into the seat belt on a steep decent. full engine braking from a small engine and auto combo was not expected.

Dave, one would assume then that this facility would be available on the Mercedes. Yes, I know the dangers of assuming.

Some pics to give you an idea of the woeful articulation. Swaybars are huge and make the operator rely on the lockers.
On road handling is great tho.
