Title: Modified GS Unit Hack - Vietnam
Post by: Tommy on October 08, 2013, 11:30:46 PM
This Land Rover GS 114-006 was modified and used by 106 Field Battery during their time in SVN. Although it looks to be a workshop, it is in fact a standard GS.

114-006...109...1966...Series 2A...6028...Truck, Utility, 3/4 Ton, GS, Cargo

The rear tub has been removed and a makeshift flat bed has been manufactured and installed.

Hey Tommy,

There are quite a few pics of this one around the place, there is also a pic on, I think Paul Handels??, site, it is sitting in a yard maybe in the 80's and they didn't know much about it.

Thanks Chief :)

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing that photo. It looks as if the photo was taken here in Australia. If so. that would mean it came back from SVN. I wonder if it was sold off as is?

I think the aus one may be different.  I have a couple of pics of this rig, I will have to check the finer details.
