Title: Cannon plug source
Post by: 303Gunner on August 02, 2013, 09:57:56 PM
In the FFRs, the power distribution box features inlet and outlet plugs of the US Cannon style. Does anyone know of a source of these plugs (ie the cable plug, not the panel socket)?

They are a 20-19

You can get them from Farnel http://uk.farnell.com/itt-cannon/ms3108r20-19sw/connector-circ-20-19-3way-size/dp/1598548 (http://uk.farnell.com/itt-cannon/ms3108r20-19sw/connector-circ-20-19-3way-size/dp/1598548) but sit down for the price.  Amphenol make the same Mil Spec plugs and terminals.

My Price

Has anybody spoken with Vintage Wiring Harness ??  They would have, or be able to get them for the work that they currently do.

Would VinWire ever have to use a Mil Spec plug or socket?

If you want new go to minikeg or check out swap meets and watch ebay.

If you want new go to minikeg

Go to element14 direct and ask for a quote, dont ask me - I simply stated what price they are able to come down to if you simply ask. Most people take that price at face value and purchase, so thats why they keep the price high..

Vinwire would certainly have had and used them for those newfangled 110 Perenties that they did work for

I just thought the distribution boxes would have come assembled from another supplier and the plugs from the dist box to the radios from a similar source through the QM store.

I managed to get hold of some New Old Stock cable assemblies.

These cables have the 3 pin plug on one end and the power connector plug for the MT-1029 mounting tray (and other radio units) on the other end. The cable is 12 feet long, which should allow you to mount your Engel Fridge anywhere in the vehicle, or even in your tent!

For sale $40ea, plus post. Cheaper than the plug alone.
