110 6x6
Looks like it might have been a Timor car..?
How much vehicle history do they provide at the auctions?
-
If you got the log book with the car it may provide an idea on where and with who it served
-
Hi there
It is strange to still see the military 6x6 with side ways facing passengers - will be great for tour vehicles

-
I dont think those seats are legal. the compliance plate on those vehicles only states 2 or 3 seats
-
Easy to check if one of the 6x6 owners can post a photo of the compliance plate of your 6x6 gs or any other variant please do ;D
-
If they're not, it would probably be possible to get an engineers report done on them.
-
All of the ones I saw in the auction photos were complianced for 2 or 3, not the whole lot, but the nature of the seats and their engineering should make it possible to get them done legally, the army just never had to I suppose.
Great looking vehicle, any chance you could post a photo of the data plates that is readable, I don't have any for this type.

I have one of the bodies from one of the Timor 6x6 - heavy bugger.

Although the seats have 4 point harnesses sideways facing seats are the least safe of any seating, the risk of spinal injury is too great, it is why modern public transport buses don't have them.

Have just picked up perentie 110 and will put some pics up if someone would be so kind as to direct me how to do a post. Newby Jeffo.

You can open a Photobucket.com account and load from there (you can then re-use the images time and time again) or you can attach the images directly to the post by pressing the + Additional Options link ↓ below when you have the modify message window open.
This second option is often easier when you start.

Hey Rosco, good looking rig!
Inside the cabin along the top of the windscreen will be 4 plastic tensioning handles, release them and poke the canvas front strip back in (where it has come out on the passenger side) - then clamp the handles back down. Should fix it and help it be better waterproofed in the rain
-
Looks great, and with overseas history!
I've not seen many with the AFM badge attached (I have a couple of those badges somewhere)

Hi here is my 110, ARN 51-474, unknown history auctioned in Brisbane in 2014, 70,000 kms
-
Hi Lucky, yours has a cam pattern that is what mine is supposed to be.
-
Rosco, I’m sure yours was also in Cambodia. Have a look at the ARNs in my pics. We had many ARN 49-2xx FFR, as we were the Force Communication Unit.
