G'day Cliffy  :)

The early Series 11 Comm Recon were very similar to the standard vehicle with only the addition of the indicators and the blackout switch, one give away is the location of the NATO plug, on some just above the numberplate location on the right rear panel, others it was moved to the left side of the chassis X member, like on later vehicles, really early S2's had the horn and dipper on a little stalk clamped to the steering column and the blinker switch fitted to a panel on the right side of the dash/firewall (Morris Minor type) I think DennisM maybe able to send you a pic of the set up as his CR has them (after much scrounging)

One way to be able to pic an ex-military CR is the 4 tell-tale holes where the Nomenclature Plate was screwed on the left side of the firewall in the "glove box".

cheers

Hi Uncle,

Yeah I was surprised at the amount of 88's stationed in WA and most if not all would have been sold off here.
I just don't run into too many.
All good now as I have the best 88 you could hope for.
