What are the correct part numbers for the front brake shoes and the rear ones for my 109 workshop, and will they be 9 inch? I cant check as its too far away still.

They will be 11" X 2 1/2"
FRONT
Boxed bonded assemblies. GBS127 (LH) & GBS124 (RH) I have no idea why a genuine Rover Co manual would specify a Girling number.
Remember the shoes must match drums. If the drums have been machined oversized, then you need oversize shoes.
Be careful not to get 6 cyl shoes which are 3" wide.
REAR
Same as Defender and SIII boxed bonded set RTC 3418 (Matched to drum size applies)

Silly question, oversized shoes? they do different ones?

If you go to a brake service that still bonds their own shoes, they will supply oversized shoes.
If you fit out of the box shoes and find that your adjusters are fully out, then you either need to get new oversized shoes or new drums.

If mine were out of the box, with the adjusters fully open, i had to knock the drum on, i would therefore need to get some sanded off?

Wind the adjusters back a couple of clicks until they are just NOT dragging. I wouldn't be sading anything.

The adjusters are as far as they will go. I am thinking cheap brake shoes.

Oh i understand, adjusters wound in as far as they can do and pads still tight on the drum. Could be a problem...........

Thats correct. I am thinking that maybe the shoes are incorrect ( but I thought i ordered the correct ones ) I was stupid in the fact I ordered them from Britpart, I thought they cant screw some simple brake shoes up but maybe they have, saying that the dums were a bugger to get off in fact I thought we were never going to get them off, so maybe a quick skim on the drums?
Or some new drums?

I'm talking about the adjusters being fully at the other end. i.e. you can wind the adjusters till they click and go around again. Then it's O/S shoes or new drums.
The rear of my SIIb is in exactly that state ATM, but the drums that were supplied were for SIIa 9/16" studs where the suffix F SIIB have m16 studs like SIII. Haven't had a chance to swap them over.
