Title: Need advice to upgrade my FFR Perentie brakes.
Post by: alvin on October 11, 2025, 07:17:31 AM
Hi,
I've got a (I think) a 93' FFR Perentie, and I want to improve the brakes on this vehicle.
I gather there's aftermarket brake servo booster kits (powerbooster kits) out there that work on other Land Rover variants, but could someone point me in the direction of the correct one I might be able to swap into my vehicle that's going to fit and will (hopefully) markedly improve my existing system.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated by hopefully someone who's already gone down this path with success. (;->

Hi Alvin, my 89 GS had weeping rear wheel clyinders, so I bought a disc brake kit from KLR.  You have to change over your existing bearings and a very minor bit of fiddling about,  but the braking benefit is nothing short of startling!  Highly recommended.  Even the brake lines can be attached easily enough.  Bled easily too!  Stops really well.  STDDIVER
