Title: WTB: Still looking for a No.5 Trailer
Post by: Acorn on February 04, 2022, 07:43:11 PM

Please let me know if you have one in good condition and in going order which you’re prepared to part with.

I promise to give it a good home.

I’m located in Melbourne.

Many thanks for looking.

Chris

They pop up from time to time. A few months back, a couple turned up in Pickles. One went for about $300 and the other went for about $400.
Are you on the No5 trailer facebook page?

There’s a No.5 Trailer Facebook Page?

No, I didn’t know that Mick.  Thanks for the heads up!

Isn't it odd what happens.
I was **** stirring a mate, telling him I'd sold his trailer for him, then he says "I was thinking about moving it on last week."
You know, it is exactly the type of No.5 trailer I wouldn't mind having. It would go with my 2a.
It would sit behind a 4x4 Perentie just as well.

Well, after the Dookie weekend just past, I’m now all sorted!

Many thanks to you Mick_Marsh for the introduction.  And especially, many thanks to the seller. An absolute gentleman!

The No.5 is just what I wanted.  Unmolested, registered, incredibly complete, zero rust, new springs installed at last army service AND the log book!

As an added bonus, the last unit owning the trailer was 1 INT BN.  My old Corps!

Many thanks to all the members who have helped me in my quest for a No.5.  This is a terrific forum!

Well done Acorn,

Not easy to find a good unmolested No.5 these days!

Nice photo.
The trailer and Perentie match.
When you get a new tilt for the Perentie, get a trailer one as well.
From Robco, of course.

Many thanks mike_k!  Appreciate it.  I’ll be taking it to Corowa.  See you again then!

Kind regards

Many thanks Mick_Marsh!

I have a new geo cam pattern Robco tilt in the cupboard and a geo cam pattern cover for the No.5 on the way.

I need to fit both before Corowa.

Do you have any tips for me fitting the 110 GS tilt so I don’t stuff it up?

Kind regards

Acorn

No idea.
Have a chat with Tom. I think he replaced his.
